Schoolies, end of year celebrations and school holidays can place young people in situations where peer pressure, rising tension or concern for a friend can make decisions difficult.
Before You Head Out provides six ready to use, 10-minute conversations to help students think ahead and consider practical ways to stay safe, look out for one another and choose a safer next step.
The conversations explore:
- recognising when the mood is changing
- looking after a mate without joining a conflict
- responding to embarrassment and pressure
- supporting someone who wants to leave
- managing when plans fall through
- avoiding online conflict the morning after

Designed for Years 10 to 12, the resource can be used in Health, Homeroom, Pastoral Care or Wellbeing.
